NLNG Begins Shipment from Train 3
Nigeria LNG Limited once more makes history as it begins LNG shipment from its latest plant—the third train, 3 months ahead of schedule. LNG Finima, one of the company's ships sets sail this morning with the cargo containing the initial output from the plant, which began production 29th of November 2002.
The cargo destined for GAS Natural's receiving terminal in Huelva, Spain starts NLNG's 22 ½ -year supply contracts with GAS Natural and Transgas.
Of the 3.7 bcm per annum of LNG expected from the third train, Gas Natural SDG SA of Spain will purchase 2.7 bcm per annum and Transgas of Portugal 1.0 bcm per annum for 22½ years. This makes GAS Natural with 4.3 bcm for 3 trains, NLNG's current biggest customer.
NLNG runs an integrated plant in Bonny with the trains sharing common facilities including storage tanks, shipping capacity and loading jetty. The plant's LPG facilities will be completed in April 2003.

The company recently celebrated 20 million construction man-hours worked without a lost time injury.
NLNG is a Nigerian Joint Venture company whose shareholders are the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (49%), Shell (25.6%), TotalFinaElf (15%) and Agip International (10.4%).
