New Managing Director for Nigeria LNG Limited
The Board of Nigeria LNG Limited has appointed Mr. Andrew Jamieson as Managing Director and Chief Executive of the company, with effect from 9th August 1999. He replaces Chief Steve Ollerearnshaw who is being transferred by his parent company, Shell, to Oman where he will take up the position of Managing Director, Petroleum Development Oman LLC.
Andrew Jamieson will be joining NLNG from Australia, where he is currently General Manager North West Shelf Ventures, Woodside Energy Limited. Woodside is one of the world's largest and most successful LNG companies. He is Scottish with a Physics degree and PhD form Glasgow University. He has worked for Shell or its affiliates since 1974 in the UK, the Netherlands, Denmark and since 1994 in Australia.
Steve Ollerearnshaw was appointed as Managing Director/Chief Executive of NLNG in February 1997, after serving in Nigeria with Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) since 1991. He has steered NLNG to a point where it is shortly to start up its Base Project and has taken a Final Investment Decision to proceed with an expansion project (3rd Train).
