First Cargo Delivery
Nigeria LNG Limited is please to announce the successful delivery of its first LNG cargo today at the NLNG receiving terminal in Montoir, France. The 120,000 metric tonnes of LNG cargo meant for ENEL, the Italian Electricity Company departed Nigeria on the 9th of October 1999 on board LNG Lagos.
The Managing Director, Mr Andrew Jamieson said "with the successful delivery of the cargo to ENEL today, Nigeria LNG Limited has met the delivery target specified under the Initial Supply Period (ISP) delivery programme for the first cargo, this represents a tremendous achievement for the staff of the company and for the nation".
The Management of Nigeria LNG Limited seizes this opportunity to thank and rejoice with the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Amanyanabo of Grand Bonny Kingdom, Governor of Rivers State, the host communities, and the entire people of Nigeria for their support. This has helped immensely in achieving this major milestone and launching Nigeria into the league of LNG producing nations.
